My Path to Strength: The Story Behind the Coach

Empowering Through Taekwondo: A Journey of Strength, Discipline, and Mastery

My Journey

My name is Ibrahim Al-Rihawi, and I have been passionate about sports from a young age. I began my journey as a football player, but it was Taekwondo that truly shaped my path. I started practicing Taekwondo at the age of seven, driven by a desire to improve my physical fitness and learn the art of self-defense.

By the time I was 17, I earned my 1st Dan international black belt. My commitment to the sport earned me several accolades, including the Aleppo Championship titles in both sparring (Kyorugi) and forms (Poomsae). In 2008, I achieved my 2nd Dan international black belt, followed by certifications as a coach and a new referee, marking the beginning of my professional coaching career.

Over the years, I continued to build on my skills and knowledge. In 2017, I received my 4th Dan black belt and, in 2018, earned my first-degree referee and coaching certifications. My passion for personal and professional growth led me to pursue advanced certifications, including an international Taekwondo coaching certificate and an international physical training certification in 2022. That same year, I achieved the 5th Dan black belt and was honored with the Master Instructor certificate—the highest level of coaching certification in Taekwondo worldwide.

In 2024, I was awarded the prestigious International Examiner Certificate, enabling me to evaluate and certify practitioners at all levels.

My motivation for pursuing Taekwondo has always been rooted in the core values of self-defense, fitness, and flexibility. I believe Taekwondo not only strengthens the body but also builds character, instills self-reliance, and cultivates patience and resilience in the face of challenges.

I encourage everyone, regardless of age or fitness level, to engage in Taekwondo, fitness training, or any form of physical activity. The benefits are immense—physically, mentally, and emotionally. With dedication and perseverance, anyone can unlock their potential.
